Windows 2000 will live: at least a bit longer than what was expected after an initial announcement that Win2k would disappear from shelves in March 2003, Microsoft now seems decided to keep it available until en of 2006 (source the Register).

Web sites play with your mouse cursor: If you have Internet Explorer, you will see weird things on the following web sites.

• Annagrammes
• Brest city council
• Snoopy as a mouse cursor
• A flexible watch (really!)
• Bullets elastically stringed to your cursor

Web designers lacking imagination may find even more scripts and DHTML code on Kurt's web site. Funny, but don't overuse them.

The CD-R writer that wanted to be a graphics artist: This Yamaha CD writer includes a novel feature (Disc T@2) that allows drawing pictures in the unused parts of a CD-R disc. But, the results are of a widely varying quality depending on the disc quality and origin. It's fun anyway!

SPIP: in order to publish a news-oriented web site. Really world-class, but this software is in French.
