Dynax 7D tip #6: Minolta just announced the new v1.10 firmware for the Dynax 7D.

Dynax 7D tip #5 : I love to be in the driver's seat even when shooting photos and I don't like autopilot programs. That's why I created two basic programs for my Dynax 7D: (1) for 100 ISO and RAW+JPEG recording, (2) for 1600 ISO and RAW+JPEG recording. The third program goes unused for now.

GigaPxl: Some people would not settle for low- or medium-resolution and will aim directly at 1000 mega-pixels!

Objects that can be tailor-made: You may want your own business cards (eventually for free), VistaPrint will offer you just this with postcards, brochures, magnets, announcements and invitation cards. If you also wanted T-shirts, coffee mugs or personalized mousepads, just go to CafePress.com.

Dynax 7D tip #4 : On any digital camera, avoid at all costs, the polarizing filters of the "(recti)linear" type; Prefer the "circular" type.

And never forget that a polarizing filters reduces the light going throught the lens, sometimes to the point that focusing becomes difficult or impossible on low-cost zooms.

Free antivirus for Windows: AntiVir is a free (as in free beer) antivirus software for individuals. Recommended (You do remember that an antivirus is a must-have for anybody downloading documents or files from the Internet or using an email program, do you?).

Free subscription to a magazine: If you are interested in scientific computing, you may want to subscribe for free to Scientific Computing.

DVD rental : is developping in an interesting manner in France with permanent rental (monthly fees give permanent access to DVDs without late fees). An example: CineSnap.
