Pentax under 600$: Yes! The Pentax *istDL (the most visible Pentax digital SLR) falls down to 599$ in the US of A along with a 100$ rebate on lenses (only for the next 2months). There is a gun powder smell in the air that announces brutal fights in terms of price for digital camera for prosumers.

Physics for everybody else: A physics book written by Christoph Schiller. It can be freely downloaded in PDF format. Recommended for its lisibility (and science contents, too).

Digital Photography in the Wilderness: This is the theme geared toward us photographers converted to the digital world of images that is passionately explained in an articles published on Fred Miranda's excellent web site: "Digital Photography in the Wilderness" by Jean-François Maïon.

Everything is said about the good ideas to keep in mind when you start thinking about leaving the confort of your home in order to take outdoor photography (for example, in the wilderness you have to think about what to take and how to use your memory storage, flash cards, hard disks, laptop computer, etc. while keeping in mind the real life of the outdoor environment rather than the marketing trends of the hardware manufacturers). Simple, straight to the point, lean and clean.

OpenFlix: Another web site only distributing public domain movies (so download here is fully legal). Old movies indeed, but some of them are quite good.
