Hyaenidae and Felidae (including sub-family Felinae) are families of the suborder Feliformia. Of course, this makes them parents (and it is very clear that despite their appearance hyenas are not dogs of any kind).

Nota bene: Strictly speaking, felines should be Felinae, but actually, felid or felines are Felidae.
