University of Queensland researcher Dr Rebecca Dunlop thinks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.com.au\/dailytelegraph\/story\/0,22049,22714133-5006009,00.html\">she now understands a lot of what they are talking about<\/a> through their thumps, whistles and clacks.<\/p>\n<p>Also about whales, Stacy DeRuiter at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts started <a href=\"http:\/\/environment.newscientist.com\/channel\/earth\/mg19626322.800-whales-diet-revealed-in-its-doodoo.html\">analysis of whale faeces to identify diet patterns<\/a>.
