Le Canon EOS 50D a l’air d’un bel appareil photo reflex. comme d’habitude pour cette partie de la gamme photo de Canon, c’est une amélioration progressive et non pas une révolution ; mais avoir 15 millions de pixels, plus de 6 images par seconde en rafale, et une qualité d’image accrue (sensibilité jusqu’à 12800 ISO) va certainement avoir un effet très attirant sur les possesseurs des EOS 40D ou EOS 30D. Je dirais que le Canon EOS 50D va plaire.

C’est extraordinairement détaillé, ce qui indiquerait que le produit est fini et sera donc annoncé soit à la prochaine Photokina (dans moins d’un mois, donc), soit le 26 août 2008 (comme cela m’a été indiqué auparavant).

Mais cela ne nous dit pas encore ce que sera cet appareil, malheureusement.

J’ai entendu parler, comme vous peut-être, de l’intention de Canon de raccourcir les cycles de vie de ses appareils photo reflex numérique, mais il semble bien que cela ne concerne que les appareils d’entrée de gamme. A cause de l’intense compétition sur ce segment difficile, le Canon EOS 1000D aura sans doute un successeur dès le printemps 2009. Mais le Canon EOS 50D vise une cible de photographes plus stables et prêts à un investissement plus important (mais cela ne durera pas forcément éternellement ; quid du Canon EOS 60D ou 70D ensuite ?)
