Un bien curieux chien sauvage, avec un nom bien curieux (les anglais se contentent de wild dog<\/em> pour d\u00e9signer… un chien sauvage, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les francophones l’ont d\u00e9sign\u00e9 comme \u00ab\u00a0une sorte de loup\u00a0\u00bb en grec). Un animal qui vit en meute, qui respecte une hi\u00e9rarchie sociale tr\u00e8s solide, mais qui pratique un partage de la nourriture que l’on ne rencontre pas chez d’autres pr\u00e9dateurs sociaux comme les lions, les loups, etc. Les lycaons mangent ensemble<\/strong> et rapportent de la nourriture aux autres membres de la troupe (jeunes, vieux, bless\u00e9s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La chasse se fait en groupe, \u00e0 la course et en endurance. L’antilope prise pour cible a peu, tr\u00e8s peu de chances de s’en sortir. Les taux de succ\u00e8s sont spectaculaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
